A Brief Summary of PR Management

 

Public Relations deals with the management of both internal and external communications. PR is responsible for promotion of organizations and implementation of programmes that are related to the organization’s overall objectives.

PR management is also about improving the flow of information within an organization. Public Relations professionals play a role in helping management to keep in touch with their various publics. They actively solicit both employee and consumer opinion and make management aware of the effects various decisions have on the clients and employees.

PR Management also serves as liaisons to the community and work closely with other partners in the locality and other international collaborators.

As such PR is largely charged with; writing and distributing news releases, feature articles to the press, compiling press list, writing of newsletters and handling and maintaining a media information service.
